The project involved transforming a disparate group of dark, damp buildings into a practical and comfortable home, capitalising on its riverside setting.
The reordered living spaces included the abandoned stable block, precariously linked by a passageway to a dilapidated, first-floor sunroom; the original mill building; the millers home; a modern single-storey extension. The house is now a series of simple interlinked spaces, carefully finished with quality natural materials and filled with sunlight.
